JournTech ISBN yardımcısı (JournTech ISBN helper in an English browser) is a browser extension for Chrome and Edge. In your browser, it fills in the form of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism with the data of the approved request. It does not send the application. You always press the save or submit button on the Ministry page yourself.

Your institution's IT department installs the extension. If the extension is not installed, fill in the form with the copy sheet as described in Applying at the Ministry.

Filling in the form

  1. While the request is Ready to apply, press Fill with the extension on the request page. The Ministry's system opens in a new tab.
  2. Log in yourself with e-Devlet (Türkiye's e-government gateway).
  3. Open the ISBN application form and press Fill the form in the extension's panel.
  4. Check every field on the Ministry page. Complete by hand the fields that the extension could not find or found to be different.
  5. Select the authors yourself in the Ministry's Yazar Seç (Select author) dialog.
  6. Press the save or submit button on the Ministry page yourself.

If the extension's panel does not open, press the JournTech button at the bottom left of the Ministry page, or click the JournTech icon in the browser toolbar. If the Ministry page is not recognised, the link in the extension's panel opens the copy sheet in JournTech.

Sending the application number back

If the Ministry page shows the application number after you save, the extension writes the number into the field in its panel.

  1. Check the number.
  2. To count the request as sent, tick Mark the application as submitted.
  3. Press Send to JournTech.

In JournTech the request becomes Sent to the Ministry. If the transfer does not work, mark the status by hand in JournTech with the Sent to the Ministry button.

Ticket and session

Fill with the extension gives the extension a single-use ticket that is valid for 10 minutes. The ticket is bound to your panel session. Do not sign out of JournTech until you are done at the Ministry. Sending the application number back works within two hours and while you are signed in to JournTech. If the time runs out, press Fill with the extension again.

If the extension does not respond, see The extension does not respond in this browser.
