Feature
Site Settings and Feature Flags
The site's identity, workflow rules, search, integrations and feature flags.
Site settings are on the Administration → Site settings screen. The nine tabs of the screen set the site's identity, the workflow deadlines and rules, the integrations, search, the publisher and ISBN details, the review processes, e-mail sending, sign-in with ORCID and the feature flags. The tabs are listed in Site Settings Tabs.
A feature flag turns a feature on or off. A flag takes effect at once, without saving, and every change is written to the audit log. The Help pages open to everyone flag decides whether the help pages are open to visitors who have not signed in. While the flag is off, a visitor is taken to the sign-in page and returns to the help page they wanted after signing in.
Passwords and secret keys are stored encrypted and are never shown on any screen.
