Cancelling and Reopening a Job

Cancelling a production job with a reason, continuing a cancelled job and preparing a corrected version of a released work.

Who uses it: Production coordinator, System administrator
Permission needed: Manage production jobs and tasks
In the panel: Production Job Page

You cancel and reopen a job with the buttons on its Job details card.

Cancelling

On the Job details card of the job, press Cancel job.
In Reason for cancelling, enter a reason of at least 3 characters and confirm.

The job closes. Its tasks, files and comments are kept, and the reason for cancelling shows on the job page. A released job cannot be cancelled.

Reopening

On a cancelled or released job, press Reopen job.
Confirm the dialog.

The job continues from where it stopped, according to its checklist. The job of a released work is reopened to prepare a corrected version, and the catalogue record stays published. When you finish the correction and release the work again, the catalogue record is updated.

Cancelled jobs appear on the board with the Show cancelled jobs button.
