Deleting and Restoring Drafts

Deleting a submission draft you have not sent and restoring a deleted draft together with its files.

Changed in
1.5.0

Only drafts that have not been sent can be deleted. A draft you delete is not lost and can be restored from the Deleted drafts tab. If you change your mind about a submission you have sent, you withdraw it.

Deleting a draft

  1. Open the draft's page. If you are in the wizard, press the Go to the submission page link above the title.
  2. From the Actions menu at the top right of the page, press Delete draft.
  3. Press Delete draft in the dialog.

The draft and the files you uploaded are removed from your list.

Restoring a deleted draft

  1. On the Author & reviewer → My submissions screen, switch to the Deleted drafts tab. The tab appears only while you have a deleted draft.
  2. Press Restore on the draft's row.

The draft comes back with its files, and you continue where you left off.

Draft limit

You can have at most 20 unfinished drafts at a time. This limit also applies when you restore a draft. If you have reached the limit, first complete or delete some of your drafts.
