Monitoring System Health
Starting the daily check from the Overview cards and reviewing the health information, the failed background jobs and the waiting e-mails.
Start the daily check from the Administration cards on the Overview screen. The cards count the system status, the failed background jobs, the waiting e-mails, the open data requests under KVKK (Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law) and the unverified accounts. Each card opens the screen it refers to. The other parts of the screen are described in Overview.
Health check
- On the Administration → System health screen, open the Health tab.
- Look for a component that says Problem in the tiles at the top.
- In the Scheduled tasks table, check the tasks whose result was a failure.
The information is read when the tab opens. To see the current state, press Refresh.
The File storage tile also checks that the file storage is closed to the public. The system tries to list the storage and read a file without credentials and expects both attempts to be refused. If the tile says WARNING: the bucket allows anonymous access, close the storage at once together with the team that runs the installation.
Failed background jobs
- Open the Background jobs tab.
- In the Status list, select Failed (will retry) or Stopped.
- Read the cause of the error in the Last error column.
- If the cause has been fixed, press Retry on the job's row.
If the same job is already waiting in the queue again or running, the stopped job is not retried and the screen says so. You need not do anything then, because the job will run anyway.
The number next to the tab shows the failed jobs that will be retried. You can cancel a job that is no longer needed with the Cancel button. A cancelled job is not run and moves to the Stopped status. It can be retried later if needed.
Waiting e-mails
The number next to the E-mail outbox tab shows the waiting e-mails. The row of an e-mail with the Failed status shows the error text. After you fix the e-mail settings, send the e-mail again with the Resend button. If sending is off, you pass the links on by hand. The steps are in Forwarding a Link from the E-mail Outbox.
The details of the tabs are in System Health Screen. The warnings that go to system administrators automatically are explained in Operations Alerts.
