Role

Section Editor

Screens submissions, invites reviewers and records decision recommendations. Granted for a single journal or for the whole platform.

The section editor screens submissions, invites reviewers and records the decision recommendation. The Editor-in-chief issues the final decision.

In the panel you see the Editorial → Editor queue screen and the Production jobs. You can only view production jobs. If the role was granted for one journal, you see only that journal's submissions. If it was granted for the whole platform, you see all journals and the submissions that do not belong to a journal.

Start by getting to know the Editor Queue screen.
